Frequently asked questions

1. What is Helium Leak Testing?

Helium Leak Testing is a highly sensitive, non-destructive method that uses helium as a tracer gas to detect even the smallest leaks in sealed components, pipelines, and industrial systems.

Helium is inert, non-toxic, non-flammable, and has a minimal atmospheric presence of just 0.0005%, making it extremely easy to detect with high accuracy and minimal background interference.

The two primary methods are the Vacuum Method, where helium is sprayed externally on an evacuated component, and the Overpressure Method, where helium is filled inside the component under pressure.

Helium Leak Testing is up to one million times more sensitive than conventional pressure decay methods, capable of detecting leaks as small as 1×10⁻¹² mbar·l/s.

Absolutely. Helium is non-combustible, non-reactive, and non-toxic, making it one of the safest tracer gases available for use in industrial and high-precision manufacturing environments.
