Fueling Limitless Possibilities Across Sectors

At AirLife, our high-purity gases drive innovation and efficiency across diverse industries, from healthcare and manufacturing to space and laser-cutting. Whether it's ensuring precision in industrial welding, enhancing medical treatments with life-saving gases or enabling advanced research with specialty gases, our solutions are tailored to meet the highest performance and safety standards.

Pharma

Wide range of helium uses in pharma industry for drug discovery & drug detection through various analytical instruments ranging from GC/MS as carrier gas and NMR which requires liquid helium to activate its superconducting magnets to form spectral images.

Space

Helium gas plays an integral role in advancing our understanding of the world through scientific research enabling pressurization in rocket fuel tank and help enable scientist to observe quantum phenomenon on macroscopic scale in quantum mechanics.

Balloon

Helium is used worldwide because it is lighter than air and non-combustible becoming safe contender when compared with hydrogen. Helium provides the buoyancy essential for filling balloon adding joy and colour to celebrations and events around the world.

MRI

Helium provides high thermal conductivity, it is able to move heat away quickly and efficiently, allowing the temperature within the magnet to remain stable throughout its operation. This makes it an excellent choice for critical machinery such as MRI/NMR/EPR.

Laser Cutting

Helium has excellent thermal conductivity, it effectively dissipates heat generated during the process. Due to its unique properties it imparts clean & smooth cuts, supports improved cutting speed, offers reduced discolouration to SS, AI, Titanium & other alloys.

Leak Testing

Helium’s low atomic weight & diffusion coefficient allow it to permeate most materials very quickly. It involves filling objects or systems with helium at a certain pressure and then looking for drops due to any leakage points with mass spectrometers and sniffers.

Semiconductors

The semiconductor industry's growth demands ultra-pure gases and chemicals. We provide support and advanced capabilities for wafer fabs, ensuring quality and driving innovation.

Lab Grown Diamond

Helium has several applications in diamond making including diamond synthesis, diamond confinement, diamond colors & diamond scanners. Diamonds turn bright yellow, brown or black upon implantation of high energy helium ions into diamond crystals.

Optic Fiber

Helium is used to increase the fibre drawing speed by quickly cooling the glass fibre. As the fibre drawing speed continuously increases the glass fibre cooling becomes more difficult, hence helium injection greatly enhances fibre cooling effectiveness.

Welding & Cutting

Helium is used in arc welding that shields the weld from oxidation. It also used in oxyfuel cutting operations to increase the flame temperature. This characteristic allows metal fabricators to cut through materials more. quickly and easily than with oxygen alone.

Offshore

Heliox, a mixture of helium and oxygen allows professional divers to work at greater depths, up to 150 metres, for vital inspection, repair and construction work associated with offshore oil industry. Heliox can avoid nitrogen narcosis at these depths.
